टेक्नोलॉजी के विकास और युग की आवश्यकता के साथ, भारतीय सशस्त्र बलों में कई बदलाव किए गए हैं। विभिन्न कैडर और रैंकों में जनशक्ति नियोजन और प्रेरण को भी बदल दिया गया है।
एसएससी अधिकारी कैडर के बाद, अग्निवीर में नामांकन शुरू किया गया है और अब भारतीय सेना ने भारतीय युवाओं को अग्निवीर जेसीओ कैडर में शामिल करके भारतीय सेना में जूनियर / मध्यम स्तर की नेतृत्व गतिविधियों में भाग लेने की पेशकश करने की योजना बनाई है। 25 वर्ष से कम आयु वाले युवा स्नातकों को एसएससी/यूपीएससी जीपी बी चयन परीक्षा और सेना में शामिल होने के लिए लागू शारीरिक परीक्षणों के माध्यम से 4 साल की अनिवार्य अवधि के लिए भारतीय सेना में शामिल किया जाएगा। मुख्य रूप से अग्निवीर जेसीओ को तकनीकी भूमिकाओं में शामिल किया जाएगा।

अग्निवीर जेसीओ को सगाई की 4 साल की शर्तें पूरी होने के बाद अनिवार्य रूप से सेवामुक्त कर दिया जाएगा। हालाँकि, 25% अग्निवीर जेसीओ को नियमित नायब सब कैडर में आगे नामांकन के लिए चुना जाएगा। इन जेसीओ को सेना के नियमित जेसीओ की तरह ही पदोन्नति और सेवानिवृत्ति मिलेगी।
अग्निवीर जेसीओ कैडर से नियमित कैडर में स्थानांतरित किए गए जेसीओ में से, 5 साल की सेवा के बाद एससीओ/पीसी (एसएल) में एसएसबी के माध्यम से अधिकारी बनने का अवसर दिया जाएगा, जिन्हें कर्नल के पद तक पदोन्नत किया जाएगा।
हालाँकि, प्रस्ताव को संबंधित कोर/रेजिमेंट/हथियारों की आवश्यकता के अनुसार प्रस्तुत करने के लिए सभी संबंधितों को प्रसारित किया गया है और उम्मीद है कि 2024 की शुरुआत तक प्रेरण/भर्ती शुरू हो जाएगी।

RECT OF DIRECT ENTRY (DE) AGNIVEER JCOs/ EQUIVALENT IN THE ARMED FORCES
1. On dirn of DMA a proposal is being exam by AGs Br for rect of DE Agniveer JCO in the IA. This model would be in conformity to existing DE entries like RT and catering JCOs. Also, the existing Recruitment Rules of Assam Rifles has such DE JCOs / equivalent who are recruited in identified streams / verticals (B&R, E&M,Nurse, Translator in the case of Assam Rifles). IA can iden specific addl streams where such DE JCOs will infuse desired level of technical threshold & youth, Design & Planning JCO in Corps of Engrs, JE(Sys), JE (NE) in the Cd–rps of Signals, RPA Stream in Army Avn, are some of the streams being considered. Thesuggested model and identified terms and conditions are at Appendix.The benefit of the suggested model towards fulfilling officer deficiency in support cadre if selected for the same, would accrue 10 years from implementation, by virtue of the established timeline of Agniveer (JCO) transiting into officer cadre.
2. All Line Dtes are requested to analyse the proposal and fwd the iden Verticals within their respective Arms/Service which are suited to theentry by 10 Aug 23.
Col (MP-3)
Terms & Conditions.
(a) Agniveer JCOs. Successful candidates will be enrolled as Agniveer JCOs for a period of engagement of four years including training of nine months.
(b) Regular cadre : Based on continuous, pragmatic and transparent assessment, up to 25% of Agniveer JCO will be selected for enrolment in the regular cadre as Nb Sub and will serve in the JCO cadre for a mandatory period of 5 yrs in the 6th, 7th & 8th year they will be allowed 3 x SSB attempts. Those who will qualify will be commissioned in the rank of Lt in SCO cadre and those who do not qualify will continue to serve as JCOs in regular cadre.
(c) Officer Cadre. On qualifying SSB. they will be commissioned in
the rank of Lt and will be detailed to attend YOs course and three months orientation training. Officers through the entry will be employed in to SCOs & PC (SL) cadre, wherein, they will be promoted up to the rank of Col to tenant selected billets and will form part of sp cadre. Retirement age will be as per regular officers.
(d) Regular JCO Cadre. While serving in the JCO cadre their
terms and conditions will be as existing and those who do not qualify in all three SSB attempts or all unwilling. will continue in JCO rank till retirement as per existing terms & conditons.
(e) Employment. Selected verticals/ streams as identified in Tech Arms and Services in Phase I, following review, the entry may be expanded into other Arms/ Services
